Biography

Dr. Dinesh Thavendiranathan is a cardiologist at the Toronto General Hospital and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. His research involves the use of cardiac imaging (cardiac MRI, CT, and echocardiography) for the diagnosis and prognosis of cardiovascular disease in patients with cancer. His work is funded through CIHR, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the Canadian Cancer Society. He is the Director of the Ted Rogers Program in Cardiotoxicity Prevention and holds a Canada Research Chair in Cardio-oncology. He serves on the editorial board of several journals and is an Associate Editor for JACC: CardioOncology.
