Biography

Dr. Dharini Mahendira, MD, FRCPC, MScCH is a Rheumatologist at St. Michael's Hospital. She is a Clinician Teacher and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. Her clinical focus includes general rheumatology as well as the management of rheumatic diseases in pregnancy. Dharini is the incoming interim Division Director for Rheumatology at St. Michael’s Hospital. She is an award-winning teacher with an education focus on curriculum design at the post-graduate level. Dr. Mahendira is involved in several education leadership roles, both locally and nationally. She is the Co-Chair of the Canadian Rheumatology Association Post-graduate Education Committee, as well as a member of the Royal College Specialty Committee and Exam Development Committee. At the University of Toronto, she is the Co-chair of the Rheumatology Academic Half Day series, as well as an active member of the Rheumatology Program and Competence Committees.
