Carolina Alba

Biography

Dr. Alba is a cardiologist in the Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant and Mechanical Circulatory Support Program at Toronto General Hospital. Her research utilizes large datasets, including the UHN heart transplant patient registry, and clinical epidemiological methods to increase understanding of the determinants of clinical outcomes for patients with advanced heart failure, including the factors that contribute to long-term success after heart transplant or mechanical circulatory support. She has also developed an impressive clinical research training program.
