Barry Goldlist

Biography

Barry Goldlist is a clinician educator in both GIM and Geriatrics based at Mount Sinai Hospital. He has served at UoT as program director and DDD in Geriatric Medicine. He has served nationally as president of the Canadian Geriatrics Society, as well as chair of the exam committee and head of the specialty committee in Geriatric Medicine at the Royal College. He was the founding editor-in-chief of two CME journals in Geriatric Medicine, and has been a consultant to the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario for over three decades. Other honours he has recently received include the Distinguished Service Award of the Canadian Geriatrics Society, having the University Division of Geriatrics name their teaching award after him, and the MSH foundation raising the funds to endow a chair of medicine in his honour as part of the centennial celebrations for MSH in 2023. He is particularly thrilled to join his 'partner in crime', David Tang-Wai, in the Academy of Master Clinicians.
