Andrew Morris

Biography

Dr. Andrew Morris, MD SM, is an infectious diseases physician and general internist at Sinai Health and University Health Network, and a Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is the founding Medical Director of the Sinai Health-University Health Network Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, past Chair of the Antimicrobial Stewardship and Resistance Committees of AMMI (Association of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases) Canada and its counterpart in the US, SHEA (Society for Hospital Epidemiology of America). He has authored or co-authored over 200 publications and, most recently, co-chaired the Ontario COVID-19 Drugs and Biologics Clinical Practice Guidelines Working Group of Ontario’s COVID-19 Science Advisory Table. He thinks he knows more about coaching basketball than he does antimicrobial stewardship.
